Pricing

Skavio sells the same processing operations through the website, the Processing API, the Agent Tools API and this MCP server, at the same verified cost-plus price from a single shared price list. The MCP server does not have its own price list, wallet or ledger.

The machine-readable form is pricing.json. It carries the shared pricing version, the cost-evidence version, the evidence SHA-256 and the enforced margin band, so a client can verify exactly which evidence the prices came from.

Call skavio_paid_catalog for the same list at runtime. skavio_estimate gives the authoritative quote for a specific file, which may cover multiple units.

How the price is built

Each operation price is derived from operator-verified, dated cost evidence that covers all of these components:

The price is the smallest whole 0.001 USD that keeps the realised gross margin inside Skavio's enforced 25–40% band, with a 35% target. The whole offered unit range for every operation is checked, not just a single sample, and the price is the same across the range so it stays monotone.

Why paid work can be refused

If the shared cost evidence is missing, stale, unverified, incomplete or would force the margin outside 25–40%, paid admission fails closed. The server returns a clear error instead of guessing a price or selling at a loss:

ErrorMeaning
paid_execution_disabledPaid admission is not enabled on this deployment.
paid_authorization_missingNo verified cost evidence for the operation.
operation_not_sellableThe operation has no verified shared price.
margin_outside_authorized_rangeThe price would leave the 25–40% band.

This is deliberate: no fabricated cost, no unsafe bypass, and no sale that Skavio cannot prove is profitable.

Billing is administrator-controlled

Buying credits, topping up a wallet, charging a card or starting a checkout is performed only by a company administrator in the Skavio dashboard. No MCP tool and no API key can start a purchase or move funds.
