Guides and help

Choose an app and expand the topic you need. Button names follow the web interface.

Skavio Transcribe

Audio or video to text

Open app
Quick start

Sign in, upload audio or video, choose an available output, accept the terms and press Continue. Download when ready. Check your trial or plan in the app.

File, link or microphone

Use a local file or a direct public file URL, not a player page. For microphone recording, allow access and finish with Stop & use. Keep the page open.

Output and language

TXT is plain text. Choose document or subtitle formats only when offered. For speaker separation and meeting tasks, use Meeting.

Example and checking the result

Example: upload a ten-minute MP3 interview and download the transcript. Check names, numbers and unclear speech against the recording. Noise and overlapping voices reduce accuracy.

Skavio Meeting

From a meeting to notes and actions

Open app
Quick start

Sign in. Upload audio/video in File or record in Record. Check duration, accept the terms and press Process meeting. Follow Meeting status, then open the result tabs.

What the result contains

Summary: overview and key points. Transcript: speech by speaker. Decisions: decisions and open questions. Tasks: action items. Follow-up: draft email. Export: downloads. Recent meetings: previous jobs.

Speakers, tasks and email draft

Speaker labels distinguish voices, not identities. Verify assignments, dates and decisions with the recording. Review the email draft and send it through your email service yourself.

Minutes and example

Meeting uses a separate trial and prepaid minutes. Check current prices and balance in the app. Example: upload a 30-minute meeting, review Summary and Tasks, then download from Export.

Skavio File Toolbox

Convert and edit files

Open app
Quick start

Sign in, upload and keep the page open. Progress shows sent MB and percent; interrupted chunks retry. Choose a format or tool, set options, accept the terms and Continue. Download the result.

Conversion and OCR

Available outputs depend on the file. MP4 to MP3 extracts sound; image to PDF makes a document. OCR reads image/scan text when offered. Check poor scans and complex document layouts carefully.

Batch and PDF merge

A batch accepts up to 20 files and applies shared settings with separate results and allowances. For PDF merge, select multiple PDFs and check their order. Different settings require separate jobs.

PDF: pages and compression

Merge joins PDFs; split separates pages; extract keeps chosen pages; delete removes them; rotate turns them. Pages start at 1: 1-3,5 selects pages 1, 2, 3 and 5. Compression may reduce size.

PDF: password, watermark and numbering

Protect adds password encryption. Unlock needs the existing correct password. Set watermark text, position and appearance; set numbering start and position. Metadata removal does not erase visible page content.

Images: touch crop

Drag over the image preview or choose Square, 4:3 or 16:9. Whole image clears the crop. Numeric x,y,width, height starts at the top-left: 100,50,800,600 keeps an 800 × 600 area. Stay inside the image; batch preview crops scale proportionally.

Images: rotate, mirror and resize

90° turns right, 180° upside down, 270° left. Mirror flips horizontally or vertically. Width and height set a bounding box with proportions preserved; blank keeps original size. Crop precedes rotation, mirror and resize.

Image compression

Lower quality usually reduces size and detail. JPG suits photos, WebP can save space, PNG preserves transparency. Compression may not shrink an already optimised file. Check the result.

Video and audio: trim

Trim times are seconds in the source. For 00:30–01:10 enter 30 and 70, not duration 40. Start must precede end and stay within the recording. Blank end keeps the remainder. Video outputs MP4; audio outputs M4A.

Video: resolution, rotation, sound and compression

Video height sets resolution proportionally. Lower resolution can reduce size; 4K may increase it. Full HD upscaling adds no missing detail. Rotation turns the video; Remove audio makes it silent. Editing outputs MP4.

When unsure

To rotate only, change rotation and leave other defaults. For a smaller file, use compression or smaller dimensions. Crop removes image edges; trim shortens recordings. Check limits and prices.

See the current plan and prices in your web account.

Troubleshooting

Keep the page open and check your connection and storage. Uploading differs from queued processing. For persistent errors, send support the app name, exact error and job ID. Never publish passwords or private files.
