SKAVIO SERVICE

Hand over the background process, not just the code

A script that runs once on a laptop is not yet an operational service. Skavio Managed Worker covers the path from deployment to everyday operation: hosting, monitoring, restart recovery, backups and ongoing management.

Hand over the background process, not just the code

What a managed worker is

A managed worker is suited to background processes that need to run reliably without someone manually starting or watching them. That may include a scheduler, API integration, queue consumer, importer, exporter or another defined process. Skavio builds and deploys the workload, places it on suitable runtime infrastructure and handles the operational layer around it.

Choose the operating model that fits

The Lite plan is designed for one lightweight background process on deliberately isolated shared infrastructure when that is suitable. It costs €149 for setup and €29 per month. Standard is intended for more involved workers with databases, APIs or webhooks, queues, scheduled jobs, imports, exports or several processing steps: €299 setup and €49 per month.

When dedicated capacity matters

A Dedicated worker uses a dedicated VPS or runtime where stronger isolation, monitoring, backups and managed operation are appropriate. The heavier-workload tier is intended for higher CPU or RAM needs, AI, media and document processing, or more complex pipelines. Third-party API or model costs and exceptional compute may be separate, so the workload is reviewed before the final scope is agreed.

Operation is part of the product

The point is not simply to place a script on a server and walk away. Monitoring helps surface operational problems, while restart recovery and backups provide a defined response when a process or runtime is interrupted. Skavio also keeps the infrastructure and ongoing operation in view rather than treating deployment as the finish line.

A background process becomes a service only when deployment, recovery and everyday operation have been considered together.
